What a relief!

FABULOUS! I am just thrilled to have the blog back up... even if for no other reason than [much needed] free therapy for myself.

Spending my days in Durham, NC, the home of the Dookies, proves to be a daily source of entertainment and a bit of culture shock to this Wilmington, NC native. I will say, however, that Durham's organic and candid backdrop mixed with it's unique people make for a great setting to my corporate america job. I get to mix things up a bit and I really mean it when I say never.a.dull.moment.

For example, today I ate lunch at a place that sold fried chicken and waffles -- and ONLY fried chicken and waffles. I mean it... nothing else. Don't judge, I have to let the client decide where we eat. Was I the only one there with long wavy, blonde hair? no. Was I the only one there clad in J.Crew? not even. Was I the only one there on a business lunch? also a no. This is the Durham norm, my friends... CHICKEN AND WAFFLES.

Alas, the times comes to cook dinner for the only stable thing in my life: my sweet boyfriend. And needless to say, we will be having anything that doesn't involve chicken OR waffles.
